Whidbey Island
Whidbey Island is located about 30 miles north of Seattle, and lies between the Olympic Peninsula and the I-5 corridor of western Washington in the northern Puget
Sound.
There are about 60,000 residents on the island and a large majority occupy the main city which is Oak Harbor on the northern end of the island.
Whidbey Island is the longest island on the Pacific coast of the contiguous United States at about 41 miles long. It is ranked as the 5th longest and 5th largest island in the contiguous
United States.
We live in Coupeville which is located on central Whidbey. Coupeville is the second-oldest town in Washington and famous for it's prized
mussels.
Finally for those of us who live here you might find something that sounds familiar on this list. You know you are from the Pacific Northwest When...
