 24TH GEORGIA INFANTRY

John V. Stonecypher, b. 13 Feb 1835 in Rabun Co., GA, d. 17 Jul 1916 in Grant Co., TN and was my 2nd cousin 5x removed. He was a Private in Co. H, 24th Georgia Infantry.

 5TH ALABAMA INFANTRY

William Alexander Stonecypher, Sr., b. 1841 in Claybourn Co., AL, d. 1909 in Talladega Co., AL and was my 3rd cousin 4x removed. He was a Private in Co. B, 5th Alabama Infantry. He enlisted at the Talladega Courthouse in 1861, and soon joined General Lee's Army in Virginia under the command of General "Stonewall" Jackson. He fought at most of the major battles of the war including Gettysburg. He was taken prisoner about three months before the end of the war.

 28TH TENNESSEE INFANTRY

Alfred Burton Garrison, b. 6 Oct 1842 in Rhea Co., TN, d. 14 Dec 1917 in Morgantown, Butler Co., KY and was my wife's 3rd great granduncle. He was a Private in Co. B, 28th Tennessee Infantry. Enlisted 7 Sep 1861 at Camp Zollicofer. He was wounded slightly in the leg at the Battle of Murfreesboro, 2 Jan 1863.

Isaac Garrison, b. 1834 in Jackson Co., TN and was my wife's 3rd great granduncle. He was a Private in Co. B, 28th Tennessee Infantry.

James I. Garrison, b. 1840 in Jackson Co., TN and was my wife's 3rd great granduncle. He was a Private in Co. B, 28th Tennessee Infantry. He enlisted 7 Sep 1861.

John L. Garrison, b. 1838 in Jackson Co., TN and was my wife's 3rd great granduncle. He was a 3 Sergeant in Co. B, 28th Tennessee Infantry. He enlisted 7 Sep 1861.
